Wesley Methodist Church

Harbour Island, Bahamas

Airplanes only take us as close as Eleuthera Island.

Water Taxis are waiting to take us to Harbour Island, which is about ten minutes away.

This is the Wesley Methodist Church in which the Saville 8228 classical organ resides. It's also the building most residents run to when a hurricane is approaching, because it's said to be the sturdiest on the island.

In this photo, I am troubleshooting the digital logic circuitry that controls the keying, which is causing a grand cipher. And it's just a few days before Palm Sunday, but I work best under pressure!

The ornate facade pipes and console of the 1852 George H. Ryder tracker pipe organ (II/9), which the Saville organ replaced, is in need of a complete restoration and may be our next big project on the island.

The primary mode of transportation on Harbour Island - golf carts! And they are licensed!

I wonder why I never see speed limit signs here?

Typical beach scenes - your browser is working fine - the sand really is pink, and the water really is emerald!

St. John's Episcopal Church - small bell tower is not visible in photo.
